Operations Lead, Senior Digital Education Specialist
Mark Kinach has close to two decades of experience working in virtual worlds, delivering technologies, and developing best practices. Mark was part of the Telemedicine program launch at St. Michael’s Hospital in 2004, introducing the organization to virtual care and virtual education. In 2021, he was named Senior Digital Education Specialist and Operations Lead for Digital Education. Mark holds an MSc in eHealth from McMaster University. Outside of work, he enjoys cycling, snowboarding and making his kids laugh.
Nazanin Khodadoust
Director, Technology Enabled Education
Nazanin Khodadoust is the Director of Technology Enabled Education and is responsible for providing comprehensive strategic and operational oversight for Digital Education, Simulation and Health Information & Knowledge Mobilization Programs at Unity Health Toronto.Nazanin is a Registered Nurse and an education leader with 20 years of experience in hospitals and academic settings. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing, MBA in Healthcare, and has received simulation and business training at Harvard Medical School. She holds numerous postgraduate diplomas in education, leadership and technology enabled learning and has extensive experience in development, implementation and management of education programs. Nazanin has represented our institution on various national and international platforms.
Haifeng (Frank) Yu
Digital Education Specialist, Learning Analytics
Haifeng (Frank) Yu is the Digital Education Specialist, Learning Analytics in the Digital Education department. He supports virtual educational event projects and provides training and consultations on effectively incorporate digital tools in educational activities. His role also focusses on analyzing educational curriculums and providing stakeholders with insights and suggestions to improve both learning experience and outcome.
Marvin Mnaymneh
Digital Education Specialist, LMS Administrator
Marvin Mnaymneh has been working as the LMS Administrator since 2018 for Unity Health Toronto. Having previously worked as an instructor at several colleges in the GTA, Marvin currently holds a Master’s degree in Adult Education and is currently working towards his PhD. Marvin is also a veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces and in his spare time likes to do work with his local Legion to continue supporting veterans in need. Marvin also enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters, watching movies and TV series, travelling and building Lego projects.
Suaad Ali
Digital Education Specialist, eLearning and Multimedia
Suaad Ali recently joined the Digital Education team at Unity Health Toronto as a Digital Education Specialist. Prior to joining Unity Health Toronto, Suaad led the design and development of digital education projects for global healthcare organizations. She is passionate about education, healthcare, and human-centered design. As a member of the Digital Education team, Suaad provides expertise in instructional design and learning strategy to deliver high-quality and innovative learning experiences. Suaad holds a Master of Health Informatics from the University of Toronto and a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
Megan Clare
Digital Education Specialist, eLearning and Multimedia
Megan Clare joined Unity Health Toronto in 2022 as a Digital Education Specialist. Prior to joining Unity, Megan led the design and development of educational interventions and evaluations for healthcare, higher ed, non-profit, and corporate organizations. She works with stakeholders and subject matter experts to design and develop online learning initiatives and supports broader digital education implementation projects. Megan has over 5 years of experience designing and coordinating adult education programs and events and holds an MA in Educational Technology from Concordia University.
Jamie Howarth
Project Manager
Jamie Howarth joined Unity Health in 2018 as the Administrative Coordinator for the Simulation Department, and in 2020 was appointed as a Project Manager for the Technology Enabled Education Program. He actively manages operational improvement projects across the Education Portfolio, and leads Digital Education implementation initiatives throughout the organization. Jamie has been working in project oriented healthcare environments for over 6 years, and holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation with the Project Management Institute (PMI).
